P&T Marine Tradings Return & Refund Policy
At P&T Marine Tradings, we aim to keep our return process clear, transparent, and fair. Because we specialize in used and pre-owned outboard engines, return conditions differ from standard retail products. Please review this policy carefully before requesting a return.
Return Period
Return requests must be submitted within 30 days of delivery.
Requests made after 30 days may not be accepted unless specifically approved in writing by P&T Marine Tradings.
Return Eligibility
To be considered for a return:
- Items must be in substantially the same condition as received
- The engine must not be installed, modified, or disassembled
- All original packaging, accessories, and documentation must be included, where applicable
- A valid order confirmation or proof of purchase is required
- Certain items, including special-order or custom-sourced engines, may not be eligible for return
Returns sent without prior approval may be refused and returned to the sender.
Authorization & Return Procedure
Before returning any item, customers must obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number by contacting us:

- Order number
- Reason for return
- Photos or documentation, if applicable (e.g., damage or incorrect item)
Once approved, we will:
- Provide return instructions
- Confirm packaging and shipping requirements
Approved returns must be shipped within 14 days of receiving authorization. The RA number must be clearly marked on the shipping label or documentation.
Restocking Fee
A 20% restocking fee may apply to approved returns to cover inspection, handling, and administrative costs.
Returns showing signs of use, installation attempts, missing parts, or damage may be subject to additional deductions or may be deemed ineligible for refund.
Shipping & Freight Responsibility
- Customers are responsible for return shipping and freight costs unless the return is due to an error on our part
- If an incorrect item was shipped, P&T Marine Tradings will cover the return freight after verification
- Freight returns must be shipped using an approved carrier and properly secured
Shipping and freight charges are generally non-refundable.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect:
- Inspect the shipment and packaging upon delivery
- Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery

- Photos of the item and packaging
- Description of the issue
We will review the claim and determine an appropriate resolution, which may include replacement, exchange, or refund where applicable.
Refunds
Once an approved return is received and inspected:
- Customers will be notified of the refund decision by email
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method
- Refund processing times vary by payment provider and may take 5–10 business days or longer in some cases
Refunds will be issued less any applicable restocking or shipping fees.
Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for complying with all applicable shipping, packaging, and safety requirements when returning marine equipment.
P&T Marine Tradings reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet the terms outlined above.
